This was one of my fav places on the T. Even though Boston is minutes away, here you felt like you were in some small town.

A PCC trolley arrives at Cedar Grove. Going on this line was like going back in time.

The 1960's recreated as both these cars and this lovely lady's outfit are vintage 1960's. The cars are due to be retired, but I cannot speak for the lady's outfit.

A PCC car approaches Capen Street. Time may be running out on them as long range plans call for new trolleys and upgrades.

A timeless scene still seen today, a PCC crosses Capen Street in this peaceful part of Milton. Trolleys stop for a stop sign clang bells making sure the road is clear then move on.

Under the skillfull hand of Operator Rasberry the inbound trolley clanging it's bell starts across Central Ave in Milton.

A quirky bit of the T is the High speed trolley line from Ashmont to Mattapan with 70 year old PCC cars. Intended as a "trolley freeway" now lives on as a link to Ashmont from Mattapan.

A set of 01600 cars built in 1970 cross the peak of the Longfellow Bridge. These are due to retirement as the new CRRC cars come on line. This bridge was recently rebuilt in the last years.

The newest cars on the T built by Chinese firm CRRC rolls off of the Longfellow Bridge from Cambridge into Boston. These much delayed cars will eventually replace the entire Red Line fleet.

The Charles MGH station is the only place in downtown Boston where the MBTA is above ground. The station was rebuilt years ago.
